Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct is intended to regulate the conduct of registered migration agents by introducing a proper standard for the conduct of business as a registered migration agent and establishing the minimum attributes and abilities that a person must demonstrate to perform as a registered migration agent. A copy of the Code is hereby made available.

Information about the Migration Advice Profession

Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA) produces a document for clients called Information on the Regulation of the Migration Advice Profession (IRMAP).

The IRMAP has information about the migration advice profession, the functions of the MARA, the legislation regulating the profession, what a client can reasonably expect from a migration agent and complaint procedures.

Registered Migration Agents are required to provide the IRMAP to clients after agreeing to do work for them, but before commencing that work
